Here's a tragedy waiting to happen...
Only weeks ago Diamond was adopted by a family in NY that was screened by volunteers & passed through her trainers at True Companion. They appeared to be a good fit to everyone involved. I had a difficult time keeping contact in this time frame ...

  • Jamie Carter Park They get donations just for having a dog returned. Holy shit. We have had to pay for major animal surgeries and got nothing.
  • Deb Barry The donations should be used to euthanize this unpredictable dog, not to board it and adopt it out again.
  • Andy Kliene A needle is cheap and millions of undogs are pts in shelters annually. Why is this proven problem any different or deserving over the others?
  • Carol Miller Diamond is a fully grown dog. This return due to unpredictable, and likely aggressive behavior gives us some information. Diamond went from the household of the breeder to someone who could not deal with her behavior so she went to a rescue. The res...See More
  • Deb Barry Of course, it is the adopter's fault. Eye roll.
  • Laurie Miller Musselman Well, pit bulls don't control our intelligent minds and we don't worship them. For people who do worship them, they are like gods to them, they will gladly let the dog maul them and then exalt the dog, and adopt it out so it can maul and kill. That's the dangerous agenda of the average pit bull idiot owner.
  • Anthony Michael Ridge they = the nutter, considers the pit the Prophet Mohammed, and will do anything for it. As a victim of the land shark, I will never tolerate being a victim again, ever, regardless of the court ruling, my justice will be given in the end
  • Jackie Jenkins I had to comment on the post, this is just ridiculous. They're probably going to put this dog down and use these people's money. If not its still a farce. $1,000 to support one dog for a month. Does it need a separate cage to keep from killing others? There is definitely a problem.
  • Jamie Carter Park It costs about a grand a year to care for a dog. Are they setting up for long term boarding maybe?
  • Penny Spears $1000 a month for boarding?!!
  • Jamie Carter Park For a year? I was hoping that was to cover the support of a dog for a year.
  • Jean Olszewski There are some good pages out there called scam rescues . They get between $400.00-$500.00 to pull an aggressive dog from a shelter, then a lot of them just leave them to die. These are supposed to be pit bull advocates, but it looks like all they care about is pocketing the money and dumping the animals . Terrible people out there.
  • Earl Upham It is all about the money! More troubled Pits means more boarding and customized training for the dog and owner and did I mention it costs more money too! I should start a Pit Psychology business and charge them for studying their dog's behavior. I am sure I could get a lot of customers. Every time I would tell them that their dog is not happy living with them. I would tell them that it really only wants to run and run and tear things up, especially other living things. I would tell them that the thirst for blood is hard to suppress and their beloved dog doesn't know how long he can contain his innate desire to attack and kill. I would let them know that their dog doesn't want to hurt anyone but it is in his blood. I would tell them their dog would rather die in a ring than live a boring life with them. To the Pit nothing could be more gratifying than a fight to the death with the most intoxicating adrenaline rush of their life. Sounds horrible to us but not to Pit Bulls. They are bred to do just that and still are bred to do just that.
  • Laurie Anne Earl Upham There does seem to be a rising industry of Pit Bull training. Part of it is providing certification so people are not kicked out of apartments, etc. Another part is their fanatical dedication to the premise that all dogs are inherently killers, except pit bulls, and their expert training solves all problems, and if an incident occurs, it is the owner's fault. Someone is out there buying those "Humans Suck, So I Love Dogs" t shirts. Cracky! Can someone be so bitter about people that they vent anger towards them even when they are victims? Yikes.
