Because every child needs a fighting dog? This is simply irresponsible for ASPCA/Best Friends to spin this picture hinting a safe choice for a family pet would be a rescued fighting dog.
Once you calculate the millions of dollars spent rescuing 22 dogs it becomes more absurd we are becoming a nation addicted to hero rescuing. Of course the MILLIONS of dollars Vick's dogs bring in has nothing to do with these feel good stories.
It does shed some light on WHY groups like Best Friends has never suggested or advocated for breeder licensing. Why should they - it would kill their golden goose.
Probably the most beautiful thing ever.

  • Dennis Baker So today its not how you train them, confusing .
  • Dawn Dalyce Some will geneticly be soft natured and never be fighters or attackers.. problem is , people often can't tell which is which till it's too late.
  • Anthony Michael Ridge you might as well do this to your child!
  • Brenda Carr That site just lost any credibility it might have had, as soon as it spouted "nanny dog".
  • Randy DeCarlo The problem is no one in politics has s backbone to take on the breeders.
  • Carol Ashley Best Friends makes millions a year in donations. they have a top marketing/fundraising team and when some no body with a dog needs help they are full and turned away, but let the media or some high profile person be involved, where they can use it to bring in lots and lots of money, they are all over it. This includes the shelter that they took over in Los Angeles, that our worthless Brenda Barnette who runs LA Animals Services handed to them. I bet no one knows she is a breeder as well, well used to be and this is why she fought the mandatory spay and neuter as well as breeder licensing. She has caved under pressure finally from tons of people (media) on the dangerous dog issue.
