This "breeder" has eight puppies he is selling which should bring in slighty over $2,000 yet he will pay NOTHING is local sales taxes, obviously hasn't been inspected by animal control and for all a consumer might know could be a felon. Great system we have for buying family pets.
I've heard the excuses why Gwinnett doesn't enforce it's chaining ban which blames pet owners who tether a pet for less than one hour. I seriously doubt this breeder nut follows the law.
Laws written that target otherwise responsible pet owners seeking to reform an irresponsible pet owner behavior are never successful because the true target who is irresponsible simply doesn't care.
Obviously our metropolitan shelter managers don't care enough to enfoce the laws they already have and are totally silent on closing down backyard breeders who will never be part of any reasonable solution.
So now Gwinnett wants to jail pet owners who violate our new proposed ordinance not because it is a banned activity but because a pet owner might choose to supervise their pet inside their home separated by a pane of glass.
Yep, those are the pet owners we MUST target.
